Animal Medicines Australia offers in-principle support for the proposed shift to full fee upfront cost recovery. However, we note a number of concerns with the funding model used to develop the CRIS and consider that the CRIS may deliver negative unintended consequences that will limit the introduction and supply of innovative and new veterinary medicines to the Australian market. We have made a number of recommendations in our submission to mitigate these risks and support our industry to adjust to the new funding arrangement.
