Animal Medicines Australia (AMA) is pleased to announce the reappointment of five directors at its Annual General Meeting on 22 November 2018 in Sydney.
Andrew Mason (Bayer), Bruce Bell (Elanco Animal Health), John Embling (Virbac), Eric Flannagan (MSD Animal Health) and Thomas Wakeford (Phibro) were each appointed to the AMA Board.
“This shows the continuing commitment to maintaining a strong collective voice for the animal health industry,” said AMA President Mr Andrew Mason.
Mr Mason said Animal Medicines Australia will continue to advocate for members on important animal health industry issues throughout 2019.
“The industry is facing some significant challenges ahead including difficulties associated with the relocation of the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority from Canberra to Armidale, regulatory reform to support animal health and promoting stewardship and judicious use of antimicrobial products,” Mr Mason said.
“I look forward to continuing to work with my fellow directors for the benefit of our industry and our customers.”
