Consultation Summary: AMA supports the creation of a national horse traceability register as it could provide a framework to improve health and welfare outcomes for Australian horses through:

  1. improved biosecurity and emergency disease control,
  2. the creation of individual equine health records, and
  3. a more appropriate mechanism to collect the Horse Disease Response Levy.
