Animal Medicines Australia (AMA) has announced the appointment of Mr Benjamin (Ben) Stapley as the incoming Executive Director of the peak industry body representing the leaders of the animal health industry in Australia.
Mr Stapley’s strong background in advocacy, representation, policy development and media engagement will ensure that AMA continues to be a persuasive advocate for Australia’s animal health industry. Mr Stapley joins AMA with extensive experience and agricultural and veterinary chemical policy and advocacy that has included roles with the Plastics and Chemicals Industries Association (PACIA), CropLife Australia, Agsafe, AgStewardship Australia and the Commonwealth Department of the Environment.
“AMA is pleased to welcome Ben and I, along with my fellow Directors look forward to working with him to continue to build a vibrant, sustainable and innovative animal health industry in Australia,” said AMA Chair, Mr Andrew Mason.
“Australia’s animal health sector has an important role to play in supporting Australia’s animal production industries, but also to support the health and welfare of our pets. While there are some imminent challenges, I am looking forward to the opportunity to advocate on behalf of this industry,” said Mr Stapley.
Mr Stapley will assume his role as Executive Director on 4 October 2016.
